COVID Guidance

THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF OUR TEAM AND GUESTS IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

Rose & Crown Camping Site and Bar & Restaurant is open for indoor and outdoor dining and leisure holidays. All facilities are open across our site except for our Games Room.

No reservation are necessary for our indoor or outdoor dining facilities. Food can only be ordered through our online ordering system. During busy periods food orders may take over 1 hour to be served.

We encourage guests to also purchase drinks through our online ordering system but you may also order from our bar.

There are no restrictions for using our outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, outside of our usual rules.

Our shower facilities are open for use by our campsite guests and users of the swimming pool.

Things may be a little unusual for the time being and as a business it has required us to introduce numerous changes to how we operate in order for guests to visit and enjoy their stay safely. 

Face coverings are recommended when entering any indoor areas on site but not mandatory.

We ask all our guests to be respectful of others and assess their own risk when moving throughout our site.

We’ve installed hand washing and sanitising facilities across our site to encourage regular hand washing and sanitising.

We’re encouraging contactless payments to avoid handling cash. You can use Apple and Google Pay too.
Cash is still accepted.

There are no restrictions on who can stay together.

Our games room will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

We have put this handy FAQ together which should explain how our changes affect your visit and stay at Rose & Crown. These changes ensure we can meet the current advice from the UK Government to keep our team and guests safe. We’ve also added in some of the most common questions we do get asked.

How can I book my stay?

Rose & Crown Camping Site is open for leisure holidays. Head to our booking portal to check availability and book your stay with us.

Please call 01406 426085 to discuss accommodation for key workers, that require accommodation in order to work in the area.

What happens if you need to close or I need to cancel due to another lockdown?

Please refer to our cancellation and refund policy.

What happens during my stay?
Arrival

At Rose & Crown Camping Site we want to keep everyone on our site safe, so please do not travel if you are feeling unwell or are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19. 

On arrival you should report to the Rose & Crown Bar and Restaurant, where a member of our team will greet you and direct you to your pitch or Static Caravan/Tourer.

Guests staying in our Static or Touring Caravans may check in from 2 pm.

You must pay a refundable deposit for an access card in order to be able to drive one vehicle up to your pitch or hired accommodation.

During your stay

All guests are encouraged to be cautious and assess their own risk.

Our shower facilities are open for use by our campsite guests and users of the swimming pool.

All doors to our toilet facilities will be propped open to minimise the need to touch push plates and door handles, as well as keeping the area well ventilated. 

We have introduced new hand washing and sanitising stations outside our shower and toilet facilities to encourage guests to wash their hands before entering either facility. 

All our team members will be wearing uniform to enable guests to identify our team and report any problems throughout their stay. 

Across our site there will be hand sanitiser zones and we encourage all guests to make use of before and after using our facilities including the children’s playground and outdoor gymnasium.

Departure

We hope you have had an enjoyable stay at Rose & Crown Camping Site.

Guests who are camping or have brought tourers, campervans, motorhomes or trailer tents are free to leave as soon as they are ready.

Guests staying in our Static or Touring Caravans should leave the keys in their accommodation in visible place such as the kitchen or dining table. You must vacate by 10 am on the day of departure.

All guests must ensure their pitch or accommodation are clean and tidy before they leave.

Please remember to return your site access card in order to receive your deposit back.

Is the Rose & Crown Bar & Restaurant open?

Rose & Crown Bar & Restaurant will be serving customers in our indoor and outdoor seating areas with minimal changes to our usual service:

  • Food can only be ordered through the online ordering system (app) and will be served until 8pm. 
  • During busy periods food orders may take over 1 hour to be served. 
  • Our restaurant may be closed or close earlier than advertised at short notice.
What social distancing measures are you putting in place?

Rose & Crown Camping is situated on a large 6 acre site that provides ample space to facilitate social distancing should you wish to continue to do so.

Guests are encouraged to exercise caution and consider the risks.

What are you doing to increase hygiene on site?

We’ve install hand washing and sanitising facilities across our facilities to encourage regular hand washing and sanitising.

What facilities will be open?

For guest at Rose & Crown Camping Site our shower and toilet facilities, chemical disposal point and washing up point will be open for use.

Rose & Crown Bar & Restaurants is open.

Our Children’s Playground and Outdoor Gymnasium will be open.

Our games room will remain closed.

Will the Swimming Pool and Hot Tub be open?

Our swimming pool and hot tub is open with our usual restrictions. Guests are encouraged to be considerate of other users.

Please be aware that our swimming pool and hot tub may be closed during your visit.
